Musical Mystery Tour

Hello All – been a long time since we rock and rolled. Well, a couple of months. Anyway, we’re coming back to Hertford to take part in the really rather splendid Musical Mystery Tour.

We’re down to play a couple of times (so far), once at The Saracen’s Head at around 5.30pm and again at Mudlark’s Café at about 8.30pm. You never know, there may even be more. There’s even the vague possibility that Jon and Neil may do solo acoustic spots somewhere if the opportunity presents itself..

Oh yes, nearly forgot, it’s on Sunday 26th August so come along, it really is a great day out.

It’s a marvellous night for a moondance

We will be taking to the stage at Bishop’s Stortford’s rather marvellously refurbished and pretty darned perfect rock ‘n’ roll venue:

The Horn @ The Half Moon
On Saturday 9th June
8pm – 11pm
31 North Street
Bishop’s Stortford
CM23 2LD

We will be in the company of 2Days2Late who are a power poppy punky kind of outfit and
AN Other Band yet to be announced.
It will be a marvellous night.

The cost is £7 or only £5 if you get tickets in advance from either us or from here:…/neil-gowans-and-the-wino…/8314575

It would be fantastic to see you there as your support is always appreciated.

Club Wino 13

Club Wino is back and it returns to a favourite venue, Zigfrid von Underbelly in Hoxton Square on Friday 3rd November.

Doors 7.30pm

Your hosts, Neil Gowans and The Winos, with their particular brand of countrified power pop ‘n’ roll, will be joined by some very special guests.

Sean ‘Doctor’ Millar, with violin accompaniment from fellow Cute Hoor, Phil Martin, is a singer and songwriter of prodigious talent variously described as ‘Ireland’s best lyricist’ and ‘the poet laureate of Ireland’s dark side’.

Making their Club Wino debut will be The Tupelos, who blend alt-country, classic pop and indie to play songs of love, loss and heartbreak.

There may even be a little bit more – you should be so lucky – and all for only a fiver!

So come on down Hoxton way for a marvellous night of exquisite entertainment.

Stay tuned for more rock ‘n’ roll,

Sorry, we’ve been a bit remiss on the ol’ website updating thing.  Since last here, we’ve done Rock in The Priory and a couple of other bits and pieces. Next up, we have a couple of performances at the Musical Mystery Tour in Hertford on Sunday 27th. Details are still a little sketchy but as soon as we have them. we’ll let you know. Still, come to Hertford on 27th when pretty much every pub and venue in Hertford has some kinda music going on from noon to midnight.
